Here is bread and here is wine,
food and drink we savor with delight,
Now upon this altar blessed,
moving us beyond our taste and sight.
Here is bread and here is flesh,
here a body broken and restored.
Here a mind and here a voice.
Here the person that we call our lord.
Here is wine and here is blood.
Here is life in everlasting flow.
Here emotion, here resolve,
Here the spirit in whose care we grow.
Here is food and here is strength.
Here a promise and eternal bond.
Here renewal, here release.
